Various Policy Positions: Volume 5

Leading NY Forward With Competence, Compassion, & Common Sense

The energy crisis in New York demands innovative solutions, and I am committed to tackling it head-on. Imagine advanced storage solutions owned by New York State, providing energy during peak demand and stabilizing prices. We will empower school districts that achieve net-zero emissions to bank surplus energy, turning them into mini power stations with new revenue streams. By shifting from centralized generation to distributed energy systems, we can pave the way for statewide net-zero emissions. Cost-effective solar panels will control daytime energy consumption, driving down energy costs to zero. This is not just about optimizing energy; it is about building a sustainable future. Our approach will attract substantial investments, extending decentralized power to more communities and businesses. Together, we will harness next-generation technology to create a brighter future for all New Yorkers.

Farming in New York is a tough business, and I understand the challenges you face—especially with unpredictable weather wreaking havoc on your crops. That is why I am committed to supporting our farmers and ensuring your success. We are launching a new conservation program that makes it easy to apply for financial aid, helping you invest in the technology and equipment you need. By embracing practices like cover cropping, nutrient management and no-till farming, we can enrich our soil, reduce erosion, and boost crop resilience. Healthier soil means healthier crops, leading to better yields and higher-quality food for our communities. Together, we can protect our family farms and secure the future of agriculture in New York. Join me in this movement for competence, compassion, and common-sense policies. The future of our farms, families, and food depends on it.

Career politicians have failed New Yorkers for too long. Government has become too large and intrusive. It is time for a change. My vision is for a smaller, more efficient government that truly serves the people.

One of my key promises is to decriminalize victimless crimes, like sex work. If two consenting adults choose to engage in a transaction, that is their business, not the government’s. We must protect bodily autonomy and stop policing consensual activities.

Right now, our criminal justice system is bogged down with these cases, wasting taxpayer money. We should focus on preventing violent crimes that actually have victims. Decriminalizing sex work will enhance safety; sex workers need the ability to report assaults without fear of arrest.

I will ensure a smooth transition with comprehensive planning. My legislation will remove penalties for sex workers and their clients while still prosecuting trafficking. Plus, we will expunge the records of those previously convicted, giving them a fresh start. It is time to prioritize safety, dignity, and freedom for all New Yorkers.
